Batch Processing
Hestia boasts seven single-zone batch integral quench furnaces with a combined rated capacity of 10,000 lbs. per hour. Our furnaces are atmosphere-controlled, using oxygen probes for precise control throughout production cycles. We customize our batch furnace atmospheres to suit your processing needs and offer flexibility to process large or small orders depending on your current production requirements. Our furnaces are equipped for carburizing, carbonitriding, neutral hardening, normalizing, and carbon restoration. Our facilities boast 7 Batch I/Q furnaces up to 30” x 30” x 45” and 2 car bottom furnaces with up to 10,000-lb. capacity.
Induction Hardening
Our expert technicians work with state-of-the-art technology in selective hardening through computerized induction hardening, With a wide range of facilities & power sources, rotating pop-up fixtures, in-house custom induction design and fabrication, and in-house machining, milling, and drilling, we provide the highest quality and efficiency while keeping costs low. We’re experts in induction case hardening, tempering, and annealing. We can process part diameters from 3/8” to 15” and lengths up to 60” and our equipment includes 6 induction scanners with power ranges of 50KW to 400KW, and frequency scanners ranging from 3 to 10KHz.
Vacuum Hardening
Vacuum heat treating offers superior quench uniformity and advanced 2-bar positive pressure to process the metals and superalloys of today and the future. Our new HR-50, Abar Ipsen Turbo Vacuum lets us meet your stringent quality specifications with superior and proven uniformity. We also offer cryogenic processing for metallurgical and dimension stability, as well as atmosphere-tempering furnaces ideal for intricate shapes. Our equipment allows for up to 6-bar rapid quenching, precipitation and age hardening, normalizing, solution annealing, and vacuum tempering, including 3 vacuum furnaces (up to 40” x 50” x 60”) that can handle loads up to 5,000 lb.

Nitriding
Our nitriding furnaces offer precise temperature control and exceptional reliability. Our equipment is specialized for gas nitriding and ferritic nitrocarburizing (FNC), and furnaces (36” x 30” x 72”) handle up to 5,000 lbs.
Additional Services
